A SIMPLE makealong

The SIMPLE makealong has officially begun! From now through August 31st we'll be making our little hearts out along with many of you, our contributors, and shops. We have some really amazing blog posts and giveaways planned and we hope you'll join us in making together.

One of the greatest joys is creating side-by-side with other makers – from all walks of life, abilities, countries, and communities; the inspiration derived from seeing how another person interprets a project keeps us encouraged to continue making, especially in challenging times such as these. We welcome all makers, knitters and sewers, from beginners and beyond to come together with us and create something to be treasured for years to come.

To participate, chose a pattern or project of your choice from No. 9 / SIMPLE and start making! Use hashtag #simplemakealong on Instagram to show us your progress, so we can follow your projects and share! If you're not on Instagram and would still like to participate, you can share your knits and in progress projects in our Making Ravelry group, or share on Pinterest and tag us! We'll be knitting away on our projects until August 31st, and we'll highlight finished projects and randomly draw all the giveaway winners the week of September 1st. We know the challenge of finishing projects by a deadline prevents some from participating in makealongs, and we hope everyone feels like they can participate in creating with us, regardless of timeline! And, if you haven't received your copy of SIMPLE yet and are patiently awaiting due to postal delays, we want to welcome you to join by choosing a project from GIFTS as well!

We have an exciting lineup of virtual trunk shows during the makealong! We hope you'll join editors Ashley + Carrie, the shops, and designers on these fun zoom calls! We'll be sharing the various project samples, answering questions and share ideas for yarn/material choices, discussing the projects, the makealong, and hosting a Q & A!

Our first Virtual Trunk Show is coming up on Saturday May 30th!

Sat May 30th 1pm ET - Virtual trunk with EWE fibers + Making editors Ashley and Carrie + designers Jacqui Cieslak and Meghann Halfmoon + Candice English from The Farmer's Daughter Fibers

Here is the Zoom link to join the time of the trunk show!
